Angelatraveller's experience was in Cape Town, South Africa. She went on 10 of October 2005 for 1 day. She went for tourism, beach, food. Angelatraveller went with a partner. She got there and around by car or van. angelatraveller's verdict is: you must go here.

Well, I say 'climb', but actually I always go up in the cable car. This is a touristy thing to do, of course, but it’s iconic for a reason. Table Mountain’s known for moody weather and you can be shrouded in cloud. Get a clear day, though, and the views are just jaw-dropping – two oceans meet in front of you, the sea curving away into this endless horizon, meeting the sky, the whole of Africa at your back. Arrange it so that you take the last cable car back down, then you can sit with a bottle of good local wine and watch the sun set, the African stars come out and the city light up below you. Stunning.

come on Angela! If you say climb, why don't you do it? Tabel Mountain is the most densely pathed mountain in the world, and there are routes for all fitness levels. You can still catch the cable car down!
