Mongol Rally leaves London: armchair jealousy

Hugo's experience was in London, United Kingdom. He went on 21 of July 2007 for 1 day. He went because he lives here and for adventure, adrenaline. Hugo went with other. He got there and around by car or van. Hugo's verdict is: life changing.

Today the London to Mongolia Rally set off from London.

Just a small catch. Cars are under 1000cc and have to raise more than £1,000 for charities to qualify for this 4 week epic journey. Oh and points are awarded not for speed but for eccentricity and humour.

I am seething with envy. However, I wanted to write about the experience that I am not going to experience (yet). Even though I am not joining in this year, I will be in spirit and also think it is a fantastic travel experience, perhaps one of the best in the world. Truly inspirational.

Yes, this is now a yearly event and seems to get bigger every time. You have to be quick off the mark though, I hear it was fully subscribed pretty quickly. It does look amazing and I think we have more inspiring (or horrifying) stories from Team Kukulcan on their way...
