With the Thames a 30 second walk from my flat there is a lot of opportunity to go fishing, even if its just to wham a spinner across every so often to catch a few suicidal Perch.

But quite a good spot is on the overflow which is across the bridge and is technically in nearby Taplow but hey. If you walk out of maidenhead past the VW garage and on a bit you get to the overflow which had been made to look natural and contains some reasonably sized perch and small pike.

Its really quiet there and not a lot of people try it but there is a lot of fish in there and so its worth a try.
Just remember get your fishing license from the post office.
