This is my favourite airport in the world so far. It’s a popular connection airport between Europe and Asia so I’m sure many of you have been here before. But if you haven’t yet had the pleasure and happen to find yourself there one day, let me issue a quick health and safety notice: if you’re hung-over or feel the slightest bit queasy it’s probably advisable to keep your eyes closed as much as possible.

Lucysoff's travel blog in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She went on 15 of September 2006 for 1 day. She went for tourism. Lucysoff went with a friend. She got there and around by airplane or helicopter. lucysoff's travel verdict is: recommended.
Architecturally unique, this fantastically compact airport gives one the distinct impression of being trapped in a giant inverted fishbowl. The aquamarine décor curves magnificently from floor to ceiling and the circular design encourages one to ‘swim’ round and round. Even more than this however, (and I suspect some kind of hocus-pocus here), it is very easy to forget one’s starting place and, much like a goldfish, circulate for hours without becoming bored or losing interest! I for one could happily spend days here!

Love the goldfish analogy (and accompanying photo).
I usually try to avoid spending time in airports, but you make this sound a rather magical experience. If an indirect flight pops-up on my travels then I won't hesitate to hang out here for a while.

For those who love airport information.Abu Dhabi International Airport is among the most efficient airports in the world in terms of getting "in" and ''out''( 16 minutes from taxiing to my taxi). In terms of revenue Abu Dhabi Duty Free''ADDF'' ranks second in the Middle East and 34th worldwide. The catering operation serves 37 international airlines and is ranked amongst teh best.
Inovative: Arriving passengers to Abu Dhabi International Airport no longer need to wait or queue in the hot sun for a taxi.An indoor taxi queue system has been established to ensure that passengers remain in air conditioned comfort while queuing for taxi to their selected destination.(first to be implemented in the UAE and the GCC region).
Spotlessly clean ( compared for example to Seeb airport Muscat , Oman ) efficient, immigration with no queues and a perfect welcome.Best airport to hang out and maybe ''win your dreams'' with the promotion running from 1July-15 October. You can Win an apartment!!! An Inovative concept or what??
