Starting a new year in this beautiful environment was a wonderful experience. Backpacking and camping in the Wadi Rum is probably the best way to discover this National Park. If you are not looking for hot weather or extended daylight, January is a good time to go there. We had sunny days with about 18C (65 F) and night temperature just around 0C (32F). When the sun declines at about 5 PM it is time to set-up the fire and prepare the tea. Welcome into the bedouin world.
