Travelling is a first love for me. My first trip outside Europe resulted in being virtually kidnapped and taken up the war-torn Kashmir Valley, within 24 hours of arriving in India. After 2 weeks of land mines, machine guns and extreme poverty, I'd lost some innocence. Since then, travel for me has always been about getting past first impressions, learning what makes people so similar and so different around this wonderful world.
Favourite places: I have great affection for India, Laos and Indonesia. Living in Bangkok for 2 months opened my eyes a little further than expected. 2 months in a campervan in New Zealand returned my thoughts to the joys of nature and simple living.
Other interests: Photography, Design, Art, Music. The odd bit of web design.
